ORGAFUN WEDDING
Jul. 17th, 2006 10:39 amSo on Saturday I went to one times WEDDING at which the following fun was organised...
* Before the reception could start proper, the Bride and Groom had to SAW A LOG in half to symbolise the strength of their marriage, or something (I was told this is a tradition in Germany).
* The Best Man gave his speech using POWERPOINT. Sadly, no graphs were involved but he did include a MR & MRS style QUIZ.
* The Groom's speech was followed by a heroic but doomed attempt to get all the guests to play the AFTER-EIGHT GAME.
* A CANVAS, divided into 64 3" squares was set up on an easel with a supply of acrylic paints. Guests were invited to pick a square and paint a little picture for the B&G (I did a 43 bus).
Also, I drank too much Pimms, got very sweaty from dancing to a 2 Tone medley in my new SUIT and a 7 year-old girl asked if I was the School of Rock man. Marvellous.
